This course provides a high-level discussion around the key macroeconomic variables such as output, employment, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates and main economic theories. The fundamental framework is then used to examine how the policies set by the governments affect the performance of economy in the short-run and long run perspective. Each session of the course entails analyses and discussions on the bases of relevant case studies and experience of various countries, such as Singapore, US, China etc.
